Pre-opening network checklist
- Primary internet circuit ordered with confirmed install date
- Backup circuit or cellular failover provisioned and tested
- Firewall configured with POS network segmentation
- Guest Wi-Fi isolated from POS and back-office VLANs
- POS connectivity verified end-to-end including payment processing
- Kitchen display and order routing systems tested
- Security cameras and access control on monitored network
- Voice lines or POTS replacement devices installed and tested
- Remote monitoring and alerting configured
- Store operations runbook documented with escalation contacts
Ongoing operations checklist
- Quarterly circuit and failover testing
- Firmware and security patch cadence defined
- Vendor SLA review and incident log analysis
- POTS line inventory updated
- New application impact assessment before deployment
